That pop‑up is just a temporary HTTP 504 timeout from the host—close it and hit Optimize again until it completes.
More technical term: The optimizer request is sometimes heavy, and your host/security (often GoDaddy/Sucuri) can time out the connection if it takes too long. That’s why you see HTTP 504 – Unable to Connect to the Origin Server. Closing it and re-running Optimize simply retries the request.
If you click Optimize and a weird pop‑up appears showing “code” and something like HTTP 504 / Hosting Server Connect Timeout, don’t worry — that’s just a temporary hosting timeout (your site/security layer didn’t get a response fast enough).
✅ Nothing is broken
✅ You didn’t do anything wrong
✅ There’s nothing you need to copy or fix in the codeWhat to do:
Click OK to close the pop‑up
Click Optimize again
Repeat if needed — it usually goes through on the next try or two
If it keeps happening several times in a row, wait 30–60 seconds and try again (it’s usually just server load).
